Jack Franscioni Elementary prides itself in its staff, including Future Teachers that are a part of it. Students from Soledad High School spend some of their time learning about the teaching trade first hand in the classroom with the goal of turning that experience into a teaching career. Francisco, one of those Future Teachers, also is an activist. During the holiday season, you may have seen these flyers around town for a blanket drive, providing blankets to those who need them to keep warm during the frigid winter season. The mobilization effort was a success! Here are some pictures documenting the effort.
Students today learned about the importance of generosity in helping others by donating any spare monies to noble causes. Students will have the opportunity of displaying that generosity through helping collect funds to donate for the fight against leukemia. If you would like to support Pennies for Patients, please collect any spare change or money at home and place in the boxes that are sent home with students. Students will then take those boxes to school and drop off any money collected into the classroom's box. Funds will then be donated to the cause. Thank you for your continual support of not only the fight against leukemia but with molding future generous citizens! Family Math Night was a success! Students and their parents from all grade levels were able to convene in the same location, with families learning about each others' classroom content and discovering new ways to invigorate their at-home math practice. |
